17th Annual High School Jazz Camp • 2536 | $420 Registration/Payment Due by June 6 Ten days of straight-ahead jazz designed for serious players. Instrumentalists perform in small combos and participate in special performances. Learn about jazz history, improvisation and more. Merit scholarships and financial aid are available; be sure to inquire at the placement hearing. Instructors: Mark Davis-camp coordinator, piano; Jamie Breiwick-trumpet; TBA saxophone; Paul Silbergleit-guitar; Jeff Hamann-bass; David Bayles-percussion. Experience: Placement hearing required. Big Band • 2538 | $90 for Jazz Camp participants, $120 for Big Band only Registration/Payment Due by June 6 Join the Conservatory Big Band. Play classic charts by Basie, Ellington and Bob Mintzer under the direction of David Bayles. Focus will be on reading and ensemble skills. Students must audition for placement during Jazz Camp auditions. Preference will be given to those musicians who participate in Jazz Camp.
